July 2024 Pop-up Art Exhibition 'This Quietness is Fake'
On July 20, the pop-up exhibition ‘This Quietness is Fake’ took place in DOOR OPEN SPACE, Amsterdam North. The theme was Breaking the Silence on Sexual Violence through Art. Six visual artists were showing their work, and participating in the panel talk. Melia Weltzien showed the documentary ‘This Quietness is Fake’, in which dancer Claudia Quaglia and FBVG talk about making art of their sexual abuse experiences. A short version of 1 minute is shown below.

May 2024 A Mold for the Small Monuments
Between 15 and 27 of May a mold was being made for the small monuments by Bastienne Kramer.
May 2024 Launching of Onderland & website SAAC Amsterdam
On May 12, the book Onderland of Alma Mathijsen was being launched in Sexyland World. Alma is a member of SAAC Amsterdam, the Sexually Abused Artist Collective, founded in 2021 by Jan Hoek. These artists were abused under the age of 18, and make work about this topic. Alma interviewed many members of SAAC and used these stories to write a novel about a special world, Onderland. Alma presents her book to Jan Hoek are on the second picture. FBVG joined SAAC in the fall of 2021 and did a performance during the book launch. She’s also a chapter in the book.

May 2024 Start of the Making of a Bigger Monument
On the 1st of May the start of making a bigger monument was made in the studio of Bastienne Kramer. First a dripping plate was made. On May 6 and 8 building up the legs. In the background the smaller monument being used as a model.
